GAME NOTES: The No-Hit Kid is coming off a disastrous spring training. So did former friend Kason Gabbard, and he shut out the Angels last night for six innings. So much for spring training. Onward!

  1. Fully Manny says:

I don’t care if Buchholz is on today. In fact, I expect him to be a little shaky. I just want to see him pitch again but even when he’s not on he shows some great stuff.

  2. Dave B. says:

Buchholz just did a great job of keeping one of the best young hitters completely off balance. It says a lot about his confidence that he is willing to throw back to back change ups in hitters counts.

  3. Mostly Running. says:

Cla is making the Jays mad. It’s almost like they’re pissed off he’s throwing so well. Good job of not letting that inning get out of control.

  4. Fully Manny says:

I really like what I saw from Buchholz there. He gets a bad break in the bloop single which Manny should have caught, and then Wells displays some really good base running to get on third with no one out. Then Buchholz hunkers down and allows only that one run to score, stranding a guy on third. Didn’t see that from him in Spring, but it’s a lot different when the games matter and the adrenaline’s flowing.

  5. Evan Brunell says:

    Absolutely.
    Curve is ridiculously filthy.

  6. Fully Manny says:

Damn, Buchholz is having some shit luck with the defense today. They owe him some runs.

  7. Evan Brunell says:

    Snyder?
    See you guys tomorrow.

  8. Zach Hayes says:

Anyone wanna tell me why Snyder is on this team?
    SOMEONE TELL ME
    He’s a fucking disgrace.

  9. Tim Daloisio says:

Snyder and Corey auditioning for the waiver wire

  10. Colin says:

Ouch. Anyone up for Rays vs. Jays in the AL East? 😛
Anyone got any Band-Aids? I think I just felt the cuts of the Sox bullpen shitting the bed and our offense getting impotent again (and failing during scoring opportunities).
No worries though mates, come tomorrow Captain Kick-Ass of the Fuck Yeah Brigade will return. The MLB will tremble before his wrath.

  11. Sam says:

This is the kinda game that really sucks … Buch comes out and pitches pretty strong but is very unlucky … then our middle inning guys implode … all the while our offense only manages 2 runs on a day when Jess freaking Litsch is the opposing starting pitcher
Frustrating … Snyder and Corey dont bother me that much … they don’t matter really … it’s our offense that has to do better
Beckett is gonna have to be on his game against Halladay

  12. Dave B. says:

Well Snyder has be DFA so i guess we can stop worrying about him…Now if we can get rid of Corey and Lopez.
